Boogie SuperStar Potential: EA Taps Natasha Bedingfield
Natasha Bedingfield has now signed a sponsorship deal with Electronic Arts (EA), one focused on the game Boogie SuperStar. Bedingfield will act as spokesperson for the Wii title, a female-focused karaoke and dance game. The British artist was inked through the Casual Entertainment Label, an EA subdivision geared towards a broader, less-intensive demographic. "Boogie SuperStar lets girls
experience how much fun it is to express themselves and explore their own
creativity by performing," Bedingfield said.
Discussing the title, EA worldwide executive for Music and Marketing Steve Schnur pointed to a fresh, highly-interactive music experience. "Boogie SuperStar represents a new level in the convergence of games and music," Schnur said, while pointing to a marriage between Wii and the Boogie series. Additionally, EA shared the upcoming soundtrack to the game, a list that includes the Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, and Leona Lewis. The title hits North America and Europe in October, and Asia in early 2009.
