Post-mortem reveals cocaine, ecstasy and GHB consumption

Former Radio 1 DJ Kevin Greening died after taking large quantities of cocaine, ecstasy and GHB, it emerged today (January 3).

The 44 year-old presenter is believed to have suffered a heart attack at his partner’s home in Wandsworth, it was revealed following his post-mortem.

The man in question, a 50 year-old civil servant, was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying class A drugs, and was later bailed after the murder claim was dropped.

When Greening's death was initially announced, his agent had said that he died "peacefully in his sleep".

Greening is best remembered for co-hosting the flagship Radio 1 breakfast show with Zoe Ball between 1997 and 1998.
