Guns N Roses’ Alleged Track Leaker Arrested

The man suspected of leaking tracks from Guns N Roses’ long, long, long awaited album ‘Chinese Democracy’ on his website was arrested yesterday (August 27).
27 year-old Kevin Cogill was taken into custody by FBI agents on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws. He later appeared in court, where his bail was set at $10,000.
Nine unreleased songs said to be taken from the band’s first studio album for fifteen years (and waiting), ‘Chinese Democracy’, were posted on Cogill’s website back in June, though later removed.
He’s been told to return to court on September 17. Prosecutors claim the leak could result in a “significant” financial loss for the 90-million album selling legends. Hmm.
