Justin Timberlake introduces Madge in New York

Iggy Pop and the Stooges covered two classic Madonna tracks at her induction into the Music Hall Of Fame last night (March 9) in New York City.

Justin Timberlake inducted the superstar, telling how she herself gave him a B-12 shot while the pair were working on her forthcoming album 'Hard Candy'. He said she pulled out a syringe and told him to "Drop 'em", but, according to Madge, he misquoted her and she corrected him, saying: "I didn't say 'Drop 'em,' I said, 'Pull your pants down'."

The singer did not perform at the ceremony, instead asking Iggy Pop and his band The Stooges to perform. The legendary outfit treated the crowd to covers of Madonna's 'Burning Up' and 'Ray Of Light'.

The video of Iggy Pop and the Stooges covering Madonna can be watched on YouTube.

The ceremony took place at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan and also included inductions of John Mellencamp, Leonard Cohen and the Dave Clark Five.
