Led Zeppelin To Tour Without Plant?

Alterbridge singer Myles Kennedy has reportedly been drafted in to replace the Zep singer who has rubbished a full scale reunion.

The Sun has reported that Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham have been rehearsing extensively with Myles Kennedy ahead of a planned tour next year.  Bizarrely, the explosion-in-a-make-up-shop and Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider has also been spreading similar rumours. Talking to MuchMoreMusic, he's said:

“They're saying [to Robert], ‘We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go. Here's a gazillion dollars on the table. If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid. And he can sing the shit out of Zeppelin.’ And they're gonna hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, ‘Okay,’ and step in before having the lead singer of Alterbridge out with John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham.”

Robert Plant, however, has already rubbished the prospect of returning to the live arena with his former bandmates. In a statement, the leather-lunged signer said:

“It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward.

"I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects."

So what do you think of that, then? Is it a sign that Jimmy Page could soon be peeling off riffs to those famous Alterbridge songs… song? Erm… What do you think?
