Digital Spy reports: *Oasis and Blur have reportedly been lined up to appear in a Britpop special of The Weakest Link. The show's bosses have contacted Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Damon Albarn and Alex James to appear in the episode of the gameshow, according to the Daily Star. "If we can pull this off it would be unbelievable," commented a BBC source. "Noel admits he’s a Weakest Link fan." Other stars that bosses want to have on the show include Jarvis Cocker, Elastica's Justine Frischmann, Manic Street Preachers' James Dean Bradfield & Suede's Brett Anderson.*MP3: Oasis - Wonderwall

At Ease Web reports: *Radiohead’s former label seems determined to make some money from the band’s current activities. When Radiohead announced the release of their In Rainbows discbox in December, EMI quickly followed with the release of the band's 7 albums (6 studio, 1 live) as a box set. Now that the tour is coming up (North American dates are expected to be announced next week!), EMI has got another release up its sleeves - the long feared Greatest Hits LP.*Read the full story here.MP3: Radiohead - How Can You Be Sure? He shares the following quote with The A.V. Club: *I write with a filter of trying to avoid the completely obvious... It's all pretty organic in that I don't have to think about it too much. Whereas maybe David Bowie, or something, he's a trend-sniffing magpie, and that's his art, his talent.*Read the full article here.MP3: Stephen Malkmus - Baltimore

Surprisingly and/or thankfully their debut at the 2100-capacity Brooklyn Academy Of Music did not vary greatly from their standard riveting gigs over the course of the last three years. The show focused primarily on 2007's Boxer & the aforementioned, Alligator, as per usual. However, one key difference was the backing string and horn sections which added a much-adored texture and fullness to The National's aggregated sound. Ben Gibbard breaks the disappointing news to Spinner: *"It's just not a priority for either of us. So the next Postal Service record may or may never happen. Jimmy and I are still throwing ideas back and forth, but as time goes on, we find ourselves busy with our own music. We have some stuff, but it's been difficult to find the time and the drive to do the record. I'd love to finish it at some point and maybe even do some performances. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be."*MP3: The Postal Service - The District...
