Finnish songwriter Laura Naukkarinen, aka Lau Nau, created some of the most otherwordly, mesmerizing bits of abstracted avant-folk on her 2005 full-length debut Kuutarha. We've all consumed a few servings of "Pork And Beans," so it's about time additional Red-era tunes have popped up to provide Weezer fans nourishment. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)" is as epic as its title, though perhaps not as free of ornamentation as the Shakers might like it (see: the siren that rings throughout the first section, or the acoustic breakdown ... and, well, Rivers and his sex talk, Shakespeare references, and "I am the greatest" taunts.
