Fittingly, it seems to take place all across America, but the Jersey kid on staff confirms Moorestown's the home of his favorite childhood mall, and imagines Mark Kozelek's drawing on some of that commerce for his tale of distance, comings, and goings (but mostly goings). Kev Miles reported that Gene met up on Wednesday, January 16th, at the 100 Club in London for a secret party for their old manager's 50th birthday. The band played 'Be My Light', 'For the Dead', 'Where are they now?', 'London, Can You Wait?', and 'Olympian'. Though he stresses that it isn't a reunion of any kind. It was just them doing something special for our old friend.

Continuing on our campaign to stalk R.E.M. around our neighborhood (virtually, 'cause it is too cold out there to gawk effectively), we present a sort of Take Away video of a Take Away video (as you know, La Blogothèque maestro Vincent Moon's been tapped to work up the visuals for the Athenians forthcoming Accelerate -- both on the website, and the first clip). awesome, I've already got my pirate wench costume from our boatwarming...there's a free mp3 out on their official site today, too: Removed_by_a_moderator....Removed_by_a_moderator....being tall is an unfair point. though in my now older years i do tend to...this is cool and all. . .but i just got VIP ticets to conan this wednesday...But will we finally know what's whispered in the Just video? :P...you know . . . i always hated that song....
