The band shares the following message on their official site: *Good day. We are almost finished mixing our howling hawk of a new record and we're so pleased with it that we might never release it and instead just put it on our own iPod shuffles and walk the streets of Glasgow, never speaking, Syd Barrett style forever. It's got it all, dreamy ballads about forbidden love gone awry, one minute pointless instrumentals and even some spoken word about the future of the music industry in India!*MP3: Mogwai - Folk Death 95

Here are the Morrissey and Smiths album sales in the Soundscan era (i.e from 1992 onwards), which I received from a friend who works there. Interestingly enough both in 2007 and in total sales since 1992 The Smiths outsell Morrissey, if only just.

Continuing on our campaign to stalk R.E.M. around our neighborhood (virtually, 'cause it is too cold out there to gawk effectively), we present a sort of Take Away video of a Take Away video (as you know, La Blogothèque maestro Vincent Moon's been tapped to work up the visuals for the Athenians forthcoming Accelerate -- both on the website, and the first clip). So here it's a fly on the wall, filming Michael, Peter, Mike, and Moon, in a LES wine shop, who are in turn filming the video for "Supernatural Superserious." It's also our first listen of the single! Sounds jangly. (UPDATE: There is a
