Am I the only one that's sick of Vampire Weekend? In a matter of a month everyone has been talking about them like they are the next greatest thing. I'm only pissed because I bought into the hype and when I heard them on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, I was offended. The music is horrible, and they are horrible.
They must have the same managers as the Arctic Monkeys. There's no way such crap can get so much positive exposure...
i couldn't get into the arctic monkeys at all. but i'm loving vampire weekend. my friends and i have been listening to them a lot for the past few months. i should be sick of them soon. they remind me of the strokes/madness meets talking heads/paul simon. all people i enjoy. it's to each his own. but i do agree the hype they've been receiving has been a bit extreme.
It was simply their name that turned me off from the start. I tried watching a video of theirs on Subterranean and I couldn't stand it. Had to fast forward quickly.
